Compassion
Draws Her Into the Lives of Her Patientsand Into Harm's
Way
While
Knolls Community Hospital is under reconstruction after
a fire, Dr. Lukas Bower takes a temporary position in another
small town, a three-hour drive from the people he's come
to love. He soon finds himself beset by unethical co-workers,
incompetent hospital management, and a flood of patients
including an angry motorcycle gang!
If Dr. Mercy Richmond had any illusions that life as a new
Christian would be easy, they have been swiftly shattered.
She struggles to balance her compassion and duty toward
her patients with making time for the needs of her daughter.
To further complicate matters, Mercy is torn between a relationship
scarred by betrayal, and her hope for the affections of
a man she rarely sees. In the midst of it all, a constant
stream of patients, their lives often in shambles, threatens
to overwhelm her fledgling faith.
